Wisconsin DA Tells Teachers They Risk Arrest over sex Ed Classes
Thursday, April 15th, 2010A district attorney in Wisconsin has warned the schools in Juneau County that should they teach the state’s new sex education classes, the teachers might have to face criminal charges for the encouragement of minors to engage in illicit sex.
Scott Southworth, the District Attorney of Juneau County, stated that a newly enacted state law that requires students learn to use condoms and other contraceptives promote sexual assault and the sexualization of our children. In a letter to 5 school districts, he said that teachers could face charges of contributing to the delinquency of minors. The DA encouraged the officials of the school to discontinue the program that goes into effect in the fall, and move the anatomy curriculum to a science course.
