Cancer Recurrence – Fear Exaggerated Beyond Bounds?

Cancer recurrence after the treatment is complete has become a very depressing situation among women who have been treated with breast cancer. “This depression is mainly due to worries about recurrence has resulted in a bad impact on their treatment decisions, symptom reporting and screening behaviours and overall quality of life”says a professor of health behaviour and health education at U-M School of Public Health, Nancy K.Janz, It is proved that only a very small percentage of treated women face a small risk of breast cancer coming back after the completion of their treatment.

Gay Relationships with Agreements More Likely to Prevent HIV Spread

A recent study in the San Francisco Bay area reports that gay men that have an understanding regarding sex in their relationships have stronger bonds, more trust, and better safety against the spread of HIV. 566 gay men in the San Francisco Bay area were questioned. Results showed that 99 percent of these males had sexual agreements in their relationships. The term “sexual agreements” refers to the understanding that certain rules are in place regarding the sexual encounters outside of the relationship. While this agreement does not necessarily require being monogamous, the agreement makes the topic of sexual partners up for discussion, which is a crucial aspect in protection against the spread of HIV. Additionally, such agreements help strengthen the bond in a relationship.

Sexual Education for Nursery-12th Grade Children an Issue of Concern in Montana

The town of Helena, Montana is buzzing with tension as a proposed program for sex-education seems to be bringing about controversy. The proposed plan integrates sexual education in the curriculum for students as young as nursery. Fuelling the fire is the content of said program, which offers what some parents believe to be inappropriate information to children simply too young for the topic.

Oral Sex and Neck and Head Cancers Linked

A rise in the occurrence of the neck and head cancers related to the human papilloma virus has health professionals concerned. The correlation of the two ailments is assumed to be caused by oral sex. The rise is so significant that researchers at Duke University reported that 1in 3 cases of head and neck cancers are related to HPV.

Arab Jailed for Consensual Sex with Jew

Just a few days ago, a Jerusalem District Court judge sentenced an Arab man to jail time for a highly unusual crime. His wrongdoing was having consensual sex with a Jewish woman. This is because she claimed that she only had sex with him after he lied to her about his ethnicity. She says she was duped into the act and filed a rape charge against the Arab man.
