Ask someone from the lower socio-economic group, they will say it only happens amongst the rich and ask the rich, they will say it only happens amongst the poor. In reality, STDs can happen to any sexually active person.

Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) which is otherwise called as Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) is an illness or infection that is transmitted from person to person during sexual intercourse which includes vaginal intercourse , oral and anal sex. It is referred to as STI because a person may be infected but may not be affected by the infection . They act as carries of the infection and pass on to others. Few decades ago STDs were known as Venereal Diseases.

Aging Swingers Have Elevated Risk of STD’s

While herpes, Chlamydia, gonorrhoea, and HIV rates are typically highest among teens and gay or bi-sexual males, an alarming trend lies among middle-aged swingers. Swingers include coupled adults who swap partners as well as those who attend sex clubs. This is an alarming trend due to the assumption that heterosexuals are less prevalent in the numbers of sexually active people with sexually transmitted diseases.
